This includes integrating perception outputs into planning and control, improving simulation fidelity, building evaluation harnesses, and ensuring robust behavior across diverse driving scenarios. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain robotics components for perception-to-planning-to-control pipelines in automotive contexts - Implement sensor fusion strategies for camera, radar, and LiDAR data and evaluate accuracy and latency tradeoffs - Improve localization and mapping workflows (e.g., SLAM, odometry fusion) for consistent vehicle state estimation - Build scenario-based testing in simulation and HIL/SIL environments; define metrics for pass/fail and regression - Collaborate with QA and safety teams to document requirements, edge cases, and verification evidence - Optimize performance (CPU/GPU, memory, real-time constraints) and improve system observability (logs, traces) Qualifications: - Mid-Senior experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or automotive software engineering - Strong C++ skills and production experience with ROS2 or comparable robotics middleware - Practical experience with planning, control, and robotics state estimation fundamentals - Familiarity with computer vision and ML evaluation for perception modules (accuracy, precision/recall, calibration) - Experience with simulation tools, dataset-driven validation, and CI/CD for robotics software Preferred: - Exposure to ADAS/autonomous driving stacks and automotive safety considerations - Knowledge of CAN, vehicle dynamics, and embedded or real-time systems constraints - Experience designing test scenarios, analyzing corner cases, and implementing automated regression frameworks What You’ll Work On: - Perception evaluation and integration into planning modules - Planning and control behavior under uncertain sensor inputs - Simulation-driven validation and continuous performance monitoring - Cross-team engineering workflows to improve deployment readiness How to Apply: - Apply via Rex.zone with a resume highlighting robotics stack experience, validation work, and shipped systems - Include links to relevant projects (GitHub, papers, demos) where possible
