Industrial Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full Time)

Date: 25-02-2026 | Company: Rexzone | Country: US | Remote Type: Remote | Employment Type: FULL_TIME | Experience Level: Mid-Senior | Industry: Technology | Job Function: Engineering | Skills: Industrial robotics, Robot programming, PLC integration, Robot cell integration, Motion control, Vision systems, End-of-arm tooling, Safety standards | Salary Currency: USD | Salary Min: 63360 | Salary Max: 126720 | Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will deliver industrial automation outcomes by developing robot programs, integrating robotic workcells, and validating performance against takt time, OEE, and quality targets. Typical systems include articulated robots, collaborative robots, conveyors, sensors, industrial Ethernet, and safety devices. You will collaborate with controls engineers, mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, and operations to commission robust, maintainable solutions.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include: creating and optimizing robot paths and motion profiles; commissioning robotic cells and validating IO mapping; integrating PLC logic handshakes, safety interlocks, and fault recovery; configuring vision guidance and calibration for part localization; specifying and validating end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) and payloads; performing cycle-time studies and throughput improvements; developing commissioning checklists, runbooks, and operator documentation; supporting remote troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for downtime events.

Workflows and Technologies

You will work with robot programming concepts such as coordinate frames, TCP configuration, singularity avoidance, blending, and collision checks; controls and integration topics including fieldbus/industrial Ethernet, IO, safety PLC, and E-stops; cell engineering practices like PFMEA, risk assessment, lockout/tagout, and safety validation; and production-grade processes including change control, versioning, and acceptance testing (FAT/SAT). Exposure to simulation/offline programming, digital twin, and robotic vision inspection is a strong plus.

Required Qualifications

Requirements include: mid-senior experience delivering industrial robot integrations or commissioning; strong robot programming and cell bring-up skills; understanding of PLC interfaces, IO troubleshooting, and industrial networking basics; familiarity with manufacturing automation constraints such as takt time, line balancing, and uptime; working knowledge of industrial safety standards and risk assessment practices; ability to document procedures, test plans, and commissioning results clearly in distributed teams.

Nice to Have

Preferred experience includes: offline programming/simulation; advanced vision (2D/3D), calibration, and inspection pipelines; EOAT design collaboration and pneumatic/electric tooling constraints; experience with welding, palletizing, machine tending, or metrology/inspection cells; exposure to Industry 4.0 telemetry, MES/SCADA touchpoints, and data-driven optimization.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time remote role offers a yearly salary range within the posted band and may include standard benefits depending on assignment. Compensation is based on experience, scope (commissioning vs. sustained support), and technical depth across robot programming, cell integration, and safety validation.

How to Apply

Apply through Rex.zone by submitting your resume and a short summary of recent robotics projects (cell type, robot brand, PLC interface, cycle time results, and safety validation). Candidates with clear commissioning outcomes, troubleshooting examples, and documented acceptance tests will be prioritized.
