Work includes robot programming (e.g., FANUC/ABB/KUKA/Yaskawa concepts), PLC logic development, IO mapping, motion sequencing, cycle-time optimization, and commissioning support. You will contribute to manufacturing automation roadmaps, troubleshoot downtime, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through root-cause analysis, standard work, and documentation. Key Responsibilities: [Robot programming and debugging for pick-and-place, palletizing, welding, dispensing, and material handling applications, PLC programming and integration with robots, drives, sensors, and safety controllers, Commissioning and validation of robot cells including IO checks, interlocks, and recovery procedures, Develop and maintain automation documentation: electrical schematics notes, backups, change logs, and SOPs, Troubleshoot production issues using structured diagnostics (fault trees, logs, cycle analysis) to restore uptime, Partner with mechanical design to specify EOAT, fixtures, and guarding; ensure manufacturability and maintainability, Implement safety-rated functions (E-stops, light curtains, safety scanners) and support risk assessments, Drive continuous improvement: reduce cycle time, improve repeatability, increase throughput and first-pass yield] Qualifications: [Mid-Senior experience in industrial robotics and factory automation projects, Hands-on experience with robot teach pendants, frames, tools, payloads, and calibration concepts, Working knowledge of PLCs, ladder logic/structured text, fieldbus (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET) concepts, Familiarity with machine vision basics (camera setup, lighting, inspection logic) and sensor integration, Understanding of industrial safety standards and safe cell design principles, Ability to read and collaborate on electrical/mechanical drawings and wiring schematics, Strong problem-solving skills for downtime triage and long-term corrective actions] What You’ll Work On: [Robot cell design support and deployment planning, Integration testing across PLC-robot-HMI, Commissioning playbooks, backups, and change control, Reliability improvements and preventive maintenance strategies, Performance tuning for cycle time and quality] Work Model: [Remote role supporting distributed engineering and customer/plant sites as needed, Full-time schedule with cross-functional collaboration across time zones]
