About the Role

You will deliver manufacturing robotics solutions supporting production lines and automated workcells. The work spans robot programming, PLC/controls integration, machine vision inspection, end-of-arm tooling, and safe deployment practices. You will translate manufacturing requirements into robust automation designs, validate performance during commissioning, and optimize cycle time, uptime, and quality after launch.

Key Responsibilities

Design and integrate industrial robot cells (layout, tooling, sensors, interlocks) for manufacturing workflows; program and debug robotics and controls logic (robot programs, PLC sequences, IO mapping, alarms); integrate machine vision, safety systems, and conveyor/servo motion for reliable part handling and inspection; create and maintain documentation (electrical/controls schematics inputs, IO lists, SOPs, FAT/SAT checklists, risk assessments); support commissioning, ramp-up, and continuous improvement using OEE, downtime analysis, and root-cause methods; collaborate with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and vendors to meet throughput, yield, and compliance targets.

Required Qualifications

Mid-senior experience in manufacturing automation or robotics integration; hands-on knowledge of industrial robotics concepts (frames, TCP, path planning, payloads, recovery); strong controls fundamentals including PLCs, sensors, actuators, and industrial networks; experience with machine safety principles (risk assessment, guarding, interlocks, E-stops) and production change control; ability to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical/controls issues using logs, traces, and structured root-cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with high-volume discrete manufacturing (automotive, electronics, appliances, or packaging); familiarity with machine vision tooling and calibration, lighting, and inspection tuning; exposure to MES/SCADA data collection for downtime, cycle time, and traceability; experience with commissioning processes (FAT/SAT) and vendor coordination for turnkey automation.

Tools and Workflows You Will Use

Robot programming and simulation/teach pendant workflows; PLC development, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and alarm/diagnostic design; industrial networking and IO validation (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, safety IO, fieldbus); commissioning playbooks, validation checklists, and production support runbooks; documentation and quality practices aligned to manufacturing engineering standards.

Remote Work Notes

This role is Remote and full-time. You will collaborate with distributed engineering and operations teams and may coordinate remotely with on-site technicians and vendors for commissioning planning, documentation reviews, and troubleshooting support.
