Title: Robotics Engineer Jobs | Date: 25-02-2026 | Company: Rexzone | Country: US | Remote Type: Remote | Employment Type: FULL_TIME | Experience Level: Mid-Senior | Industry: Technology | Job Function: Engineering | Skills: ROS, C++, Python, Motion Planning, Control Systems, SLAM, Computer Vision, Sensor Fusion, Gazebo, Embedded Systems | Salary Currency: USD | Salary Min: 63360 | Salary Max: 126720 | Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will design and deliver robotics capabilities for autonomous and semi-autonomous systems, spanning robot software architecture, perception pipelines, motion planning, and closed-loop control. The work includes building ROS-based services, integrating sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU, encoders), and maintaining high-quality engineering practices for production robotics.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain robotics software components (ROS/ROS2 nodes, drivers, middleware). Build perception and localization modules (SLAM, sensor fusion, visual odometry) and connect them to planning and control. Implement motion planning and trajectory generation, tune controllers, and validate stability. Create simulation environments (Gazebo/Isaac/Unity or equivalent), run regression tests, and improve sim-to-real transfer. Instrument telemetry, logs, and metrics to debug field issues and improve robot reliability. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and product teams to define requirements and deliver milestones.

Required Qualifications

Mid-to-senior experience in robotics engineering or related fields. Strong coding skills in C++ and Python with production software practices (testing, code review, CI). Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 and common robotics tooling. Solid understanding of kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control. Experience with perception fundamentals and sensor integration (camera, LiDAR, IMU) including calibration and synchronization.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience deploying robotics systems on real hardware and debugging in the field. Familiarity with SLAM frameworks, mapping, localization, and sensor fusion approaches. Background in computer vision for robotics (feature tracking, depth, object detection) and performance optimization. Exposure to embedded or real-time constraints, hardware interfaces, and safety-oriented system design.

Tools and Technologies

ROS/ROS2, C++, Python, Linux, Git, CI/CD. Simulation and testing (Gazebo and equivalents), bag/log replay, profiling. Perception stacks (OpenCV and related libraries), point cloud processing, and calibration toolchains. Planning/control libraries and numerical optimization basics as needed.

How Success Is Measured

Reliable robot behavior across target environments with fewer failures and faster recovery. Improved autonomy performance, planning smoothness, and control stability under realistic constraints. Clear test coverage and reproducible experiments for regressions. Measurable improvements from telemetry-driven debugging and iterative validation.

Work Environment

Remote, full-time collaboration with distributed engineering teams. You will communicate via written design docs, code reviews, and structured incident/debug reports. Some roles may involve optional coordination with on-site teams for hardware validation depending on project needs.
