Title: Robotics Engineer Jobs Arequipa Date: 25-02-2026 Company: Rexzone Country: US Remote Type: Remote Employment Type: FULL_TIME Experience Level: Mid-Senior Industry: Technology Job Function: Engineering Skills: ROS2, Python, C++, SLAM, Sensor Fusion, Motion Planning, Control Systems, Gazebo Simulation Salary Currency: USD Salary Min: 63360 Salary Max: 126720 Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will own key components of an autonomy stack and robotics platform, from perception and localization to planning and controls. Typical work includes building ROS2 nodes, integrating sensors, improving SLAM and sensor fusion robustness, validating motion planning behaviors, and tuning control loops for stability and responsiveness. You will create repeatable test harnesses using simulation (e.g., Gazebo) and hardware-in-the-loop, establish deployment-ready observability (logs, metrics, replay), and work with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable robot behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement robotics software modules in ROS2 using Python and C++. Integrate and calibrate sensors (camera, LiDAR, IMU) and maintain time synchronization. Develop and improve SLAM, localization, and sensor fusion for real-world robustness. Implement motion planning and trajectory generation with safety constraints. Tune and validate control systems (PID, MPC basics) for stable, responsive actuation. Build simulation-first workflows and regression tests to prevent performance drift. Analyze logs/telemetry, reproduce edge cases, and improve autonomy reliability. Collaborate on requirements, interfaces, and release processes for deployed robots.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics systems in production or advanced prototypes. Strong programming skills in C++ and Python with clean, testable code practices. Hands-on experience with ROS2, robotics middleware, and distributed robotic systems. Working knowledge of SLAM/localization, sensor fusion, and kinematics. Experience with motion planning concepts (sampling-based planning, trajectory optimization). Understanding of control systems fundamentals and real-time constraints. Ability to debug complex hardware-software interactions using logs, tools, and metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience deploying autonomy stacks on embedded compute (e.g., Jetson) and Linux. Familiarity with perception pipelines (computer vision, point clouds) and calibration. Experience with Gazebo/Isaac Sim or similar simulators and synthetic test generation. Knowledge of safety practices, fault handling, and operational monitoring for robots. Exposure to CI/CD for robotics, reproducible builds, and automated regression suites.
