About the Role

You will develop and maintain robotics software and system integrations for autonomous or semi-autonomous platforms. Work includes ROS/ROS2 node development, perception and localization pipelines, motion planning and controls, simulation and tooling, and robust deployment practices that support field operations.

What You’ll Work On

Build and optimize ROS-based components for perception, localization, planning, and control Integrate sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU, GPS) and implement sensor fusion for reliable state estimation Develop and tune SLAM/localization modules and evaluate performance across environments Implement motion planning behaviors, trajectory generation, and safety constraints Design testable control loops and validate stability and tracking in simulation and on hardware Create simulation workflows (e.g., Gazebo) for repeatable regression tests and scenario validation Instrument telemetry and logs; analyze field data to diagnose failures and improve reliability Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and product teams to deliver end-to-end robotic features

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience building robotics systems or autonomy features in production or research-to-product settings Strong C++ and Python skills with Linux development workflows Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2, message passing, TF frames, and common robotics packages Experience with perception fundamentals (CV), calibration, and sensor fusion concepts Understanding of SLAM/localization approaches and evaluation methods Knowledge of motion planning and control systems (PID, MPC or related methods) Experience with CI, containerization (Docker), and reproducible builds for robotics software
