Title: Robotics Engineer Jobs Guatemala Date: 25-02-2026 Company: Rexzone Country: US Remote Type: Remote Employment Type: FULL_TIME Experience Level: Mid-Senior Industry: Technology Job Function: Engineering Skills: Robotics, ROS, Motion Planning, Control Systems, Sensor Fusion, SLAM, Computer Vision, C++ Salary Currency: USD Salary Min: 63360 Salary Max: 126720 Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

As a mid-senior Robotics Engineer, you will build and improve robotic capabilities across perception, localization, planning, and control. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and QA teams to deliver reliable behaviors in simulation and on real robots. The work includes requirements definition, algorithm selection, implementation in production-quality code, integration with sensors and actuators, and iterative validation based on telemetry and test results.

What You Will Work On

You will design robotics software architecture, implement ROS-based nodes and services, and integrate perception pipelines (camera, LiDAR, IMU) into robust autonomy stacks. You will tune controllers, improve motion planning constraints, and develop simulation scenarios for regression testing. You will also contribute to safety reviews, on-call support for critical incidents, and documentation that ensures repeatable deployment across environments.

Key Responsibilities

You will implement and maintain autonomy features such as SLAM/localization, obstacle avoidance, trajectory generation, and real-time control loops. You will build sensor fusion modules, improve state estimation, and optimize performance for latency and determinism. You will create test plans, write automated tests, and perform root-cause analysis using logs and telemetry. You will partner with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria, manage rollouts, and ensure production reliability.

Required Qualifications

Mid-senior experience building robotics or autonomous systems in production or advanced R&D environments. Strong C++ (and/or Python) skills with an emphasis on real-time or performance-sensitive systems. Hands-on familiarity with ROS/ROS2, robotic kinematics, dynamics, and control. Practical experience with motion planning, SLAM, sensor calibration, and debugging robotics systems through logs and visualization tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with navigation stacks, behavior trees, and safety constraints in autonomy. Familiarity with simulation frameworks (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or equivalent) and sim-to-real validation. Exposure to computer vision, point cloud processing, and deep-learning-based perception. Experience with CI/CD for robotics, containerized deployment, and structured QA for embedded or edge devices.

Tools and Tech Stack

Typical stacks include ROS/ROS2, C++/Python, Linux, Git, CI pipelines, simulation environments, and observability tooling for logs/metrics. You may work with sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, depth sensors, wheel encoders, IMUs, and GNSS depending on the product domain. Engineering practices include code review, design docs, test-driven development, and incident postmortems.

Remote Work and Collaboration

This is a Remote FULL_TIME role with distributed collaboration across time zones. You will participate in sprint planning, technical design reviews, and structured QA validation. Clear written communication and disciplined documentation are required to ensure stable releases and consistent integration across hardware and software teams.
