Robotics Engineer Jobs in Managua (Remote, Full-Time)

Title: Robotics Engineer Jobs in Managua Date: 25-02-2026 Company: Rexzone Country: US Remote Type: Remote Employment Type: FULL_TIME Experience Level: Mid-Senior Industry: Technology Job Function: Engineering Skills: robotics, ROS, C++, Python, motion planning, control systems, sensor fusion, SLAM, perception, computer vision, kinematics, dynamics, embedded systems Salary Currency: USD Salary Min: 63360 Salary Max: 126720 Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

As a Robotics Engineer, you will develop robotics software and system-level capabilities that move robots from prototype to production. You will work across autonomy stacks (perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control), integrate sensors (camera, LiDAR, IMU, encoders), and improve reliability through testing, telemetry, and debugging. Your work will connect simulation workflows with on-robot validation, ensuring safe behavior, predictable performance, and measurable improvements in navigation accuracy and task completion.

Key Responsibilities

You will design and implement robotics algorithms for localization, SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, and feedback control. You will build and maintain ROS/ROS2 nodes, message interfaces, and launch configurations for repeatable deployments. You will integrate perception and computer vision modules to support obstacle detection, tracking, and scene understanding. You will tune controllers, validate trajectories, and reduce failure modes through logs analysis, profiling, and regression testing. You will create simulation test scenarios, evaluate real-world performance, and document engineering decisions and safety constraints. You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and product teams to align requirements, interfaces, and release milestones.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience in robotics engineering or related fields with strong C++ and Python skills. Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2, Linux development, and distributed robot software systems. Solid understanding of kinematics, dynamics, coordinate frames, transforms, and state estimation. Practical experience with sensor fusion (e.g., EKF/UKF), SLAM, mapping, motion planning, and control systems. Familiarity with debugging tools, performance profiling, and working with real sensor logs and field data.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience deploying robots in real environments and improving reliability under hardware constraints. Knowledge of computer vision and perception pipelines, including camera calibration and feature extraction. Exposure to embedded systems, real-time constraints, and hardware integration (CAN, serial, networked sensors). Experience with simulation environments and toolchains used in robotics testing and validation. Familiarity with safety practices, risk analysis, and operational monitoring for autonomous systems.

Tools and Workflows

Typical workflows include building autonomy features in C++/Python, validating in simulation, running bench tests, then performing on-robot experiments with structured logging. You will use ROS/ROS2 concepts (topics, services, actions), coordinate transforms, bag files, and visualization tools to diagnose behavior. You will implement regression tests to maintain training data quality equivalents in robotics terms: repeatable scenario quality, sensor calibration consistency, and deployment readiness. You will track KPIs like localization drift, planning latency, control stability, and failure rates across environments.

How to Apply on Rex.zone

Apply through Rex.zone by submitting your resume and a short summary of robotics systems you have shipped, including autonomy modules you owned (perception, SLAM, planning, control), tools used (ROS/ROS2, C++, Python), and measurable outcomes. Highlight experience integrating sensors, improving navigation reliability, and running simulation-to-real validation. Include links to relevant repos, publications, or portfolios if available.
