Title: Robotics Engineer Jobs Medellín Date: 25-02-2026 Company: Rexzone Country: US Remote Type: Remote Employment Type: FULL_TIME Experience Level: Mid-Senior Industry: Technology Job Function: Engineering Skills: Robotics, ROS, Python, C++, Sensor Fusion, Computer Vision, SLAM, Motion Planning, Control Systems, Gazebo, Docker, Linux, Embedded Systems Salary Currency: USD Salary Min: 63360 Salary Max: 126720 Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

As a Robotics Engineer in a remote, full-time capacity, you will build and deploy robotic capabilities across perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control. You will integrate cameras, LiDAR, IMU, and encoders; develop ROS/ROS2 nodes; and validate performance in simulation and on hardware. The role also includes AI/ML training pipeline support: defining annotation guidelines for robotics perception datasets, partnering with labelers on computer vision annotation, running QA evaluation for training data quality, and using human feedback loops (including RLHF-style preference evaluation where applicable) to improve autonomy behaviors and content safety labeling for operational edge cases.

Key Responsibilities

You will own robotic software components end-to-end from prototyping to production. Core work includes sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, and control tuning; building test harnesses, logs, and playback tools; and maintaining CI/CD for robotics stacks. You will help create and audit labeled datasets (bounding boxes, segmentation, keypoints, 3D cuboids, trajectories), run prompt evaluation and policy evaluation for autonomy decision modules where LLMs are used, and perform QA evaluation to ensure annotation guidelines compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve model performance, reduce failure rates, and ensure safe behavior under real-world constraints.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience shipping robotics software or autonomy features. Strong Python and C++ development skills, Linux proficiency, and production debugging ability. Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2, simulation (Gazebo/Isaac/Unity or similar), and robotics middleware patterns. Practical knowledge of computer vision annotation and dataset curation, including training data quality checks, evaluation metrics, and error analysis. Familiarity with SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, and control systems, plus disciplined software engineering practices (testing, code reviews, CI).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with deep learning for robotics perception (detection/segmentation/pose), edge deployment, and performance optimization. Knowledge of reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or human feedback loops (including RLHF-style preference data) for policy improvement. Experience with content safety labeling for operational edge cases and safety-critical evaluation. Familiarity with MLOps for robotics (data versioning, experiment tracking) and cloud tooling (Docker, Kubernetes) to support model training pipelines.
