Title: Robotics Engineer Jobs Monterrey Date: 25-02-2026 Company: Rexzone Country: US Remote Type: Remote Employment Type: FULL_TIME Experience Level: Mid-Senior Industry: Technology Job Function: Engineering Skills: ROS2, ROS, SLAM, Motion Planning, Control Systems, Computer Vision, Sensor Fusion, Embedded C++, Python, Robotics Simulation Salary Currency: USD Salary Min: 63360 Salary Max: 126720 Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will design, implement, and maintain robotics software and integration workflows for production-grade robots. The work spans perception (camera/LiDAR/IMU), localization and mapping (SLAM), planning (path and motion planning), controls (PID/MPC), and system integration (ROS/ROS2 nodes, messages, and services). You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable robot behaviors, run simulation-to-real validation, and deliver measurable improvements in autonomy, safety, and uptime.

Key Responsibilities

Own robotics features from design through deployment, including autonomy logic, tooling, and observability; develop ROS/ROS2 packages, interfaces, and launch configurations for multi-sensor robot stacks; implement and tune localization, mapping, and navigation pipelines using SLAM, sensor fusion, and state estimation; build motion planning and control loops for smooth, stable, and safe robot movement; integrate hardware drivers and embedded interfaces for cameras, encoders, IMUs, and motor controllers; create simulation and test harnesses (HIL/SIL) to reproduce issues and validate fixes; define acceptance criteria, performance benchmarks, and regression tests for navigation accuracy, latency, and safety constraints; collaborate with QA, operations, and field teams to diagnose incidents, improve reliability, and reduce failure rates; document architecture, runbooks, and integration guides to support scale and repeatability.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience building robotics or automation systems in production environments; strong C++ and Python skills for real-time robotics development and tooling; hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience, including debugging distributed systems and message timing; solid foundations in kinematics, dynamics, controls, and estimation (Kalman filters, sensor fusion); experience with navigation stacks, SLAM methods, motion planning, and trajectory generation; familiarity with robotics middleware, simulation, logging, and profiling practices; ability to work remotely with clear written communication, structured problem-solving, and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with mobile robotics in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or field robotics; background in computer vision pipelines (calibration, feature tracking, depth sensing) and perception evaluation; exposure to safety standards, fail-safe design, and risk assessment for autonomous systems; experience with CI/CD for robotics software, automated testing, and reproducible builds; familiarity with edge deployment constraints (compute limits, power, thermal) and real-time performance tuning.

Tools and Workflow

Daily work typically includes ROS/ROS2 development, sensor data analysis, SLAM and planning experiments, code reviews, and validation in simulation and on target hardware. You will track metrics like navigation drift, replanning frequency, localization loss, and system latency, then iterate on algorithms, parameters, and integration details. The team values disciplined testing, clear documentation, and incremental releases to maintain stable robot fleets.

Remote Work and Collaboration

This is a Remote, full-time role. You will collaborate across time zones using structured design docs, async updates, and scheduled integration checkpoints. You should be comfortable coordinating with hardware labs and field operators via logs, datasets, and repeatable test procedures.

How to Apply on Rex.zone

Apply through Rex.zone with an updated resume and a short summary of robotics systems you have shipped, including your role, stack (ROS/ROS2, SLAM, planning, controls), and measurable outcomes (uptime, accuracy, latency, safety improvements). If available, share links to publications, open-source repos, or technical write-ups relevant to robotics engineering.
