As a Robotics Engineer, you will design, develop, and validate robotic capabilities spanning perception (computer vision, sensor fusion), localization and mapping (SLAM), motion planning, and control. You will integrate hardware drivers and interfaces (cameras, IMUs, LiDAR), implement robust ROS2 nodes, and run simulation-to-real workflows to improve autonomy. You will collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to define requirements, write test plans, and ensure safe, reliable field performance for production robotics deployments.

Key Responsibilities

["Develop and maintain ROS2-based robotics software (nodes, launch, TF, navigation stack integrations)","Implement perception and state-estimation components: sensor calibration, filtering, sensor fusion, visual odometry and SLAM where applicable","Build motion planning and control solutions (trajectory generation, MPC/PID control, collision checking, constraints)","Create simulation and test infrastructure (Gazebo/Ignition or equivalent), including regression tests and replay tooling","Integrate with embedded and edge compute targets; optimize performance, latency, and reliability","Define and enforce engineering QA practices: logging, metrics, fault detection, and post-mortem analysis","Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to validate end-to-end behavior","Document architecture, APIs, and operational runbooks to support deployment and on-call readiness"]

Required Qualifications

["Mid-Senior experience building production robotics systems or autonomy features","Strong C++ and Python for robotics applications","Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience (message definitions, QoS, lifecycle nodes, navigation, TF)","Experience with perception or estimation: SLAM, sensor fusion, Kalman filtering, or pose graph optimization","Knowledge of motion planning and control theory; ability to tune and validate controllers","Comfort with Linux, debugging tools, and performance profiling","Experience designing tests for robotic behavior in simulation and on real hardware"]

Preferred Qualifications

["Experience with computer vision (OpenCV) and deep learning inference on edge devices","Familiarity with safety and reliability practices for autonomous systems (fault handling, watchdogs, redundancy)","Experience with embedded/real-time constraints and hardware interfaces (CAN, serial, I2C/SPI)","Exposure to cloud robotics or fleet management (telemetry, OTA updates, observability)","Experience deploying robots in logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, or field robotics domains"]

Work Model and Collaboration

["Remote: collaborate with distributed teams via async updates, design docs, and structured code reviews","Full-time: consistent ownership of features from design to deployment and iteration","Interfaces with AI/ML, QA, and product teams to translate requirements into measurable robotics performance improvements"]

Compensation

["Salary Range (USD/year): 63360 to 126720","Pay Period: YEAR","Compensation may vary by location, scope, and experience within the Mid-Senior level band"]
