Title: Robotics Engineer Jobs Porto Alegre | Date: 25-02-2026 | Company: Rexzone | Country: US | Remote Type: Remote | Employment Type: FULL_TIME | Experience Level: Mid-Senior | Industry: Technology | Job Function: Engineering | Skills: ROS2, C++, Python, SLAM, Motion Planning, Computer Vision, Sensor Fusion, Control Systems, Gazebo, Docker | Salary Currency: USD | Salary Min: 63360 | Salary Max: 126720 | Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will own end-to-end robotics engineering work: requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification for robot autonomy and mechatronic integration. Day to day, you will develop ROS2 nodes and services, integrate sensors (LiDAR, depth cameras, IMU, wheel encoders), implement perception and sensor fusion pipelines, and tune control loops for stable motion. You will validate behavior in simulation (Gazebo/Isaac-style workflows) and on hardware, triage field issues using logs and telemetry, and harden systems for deployment with CI/CD and reproducible builds.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement robot software modules for navigation, localization, and task execution; build and tune SLAM and mapping components; implement motion planning and obstacle avoidance; develop perception pipelines for object detection, tracking, and scene understanding; integrate sensors and actuators including calibration, time synchronization, and coordinate frames; implement control systems (PID/MPC concepts) and trajectory tracking; create simulation scenarios and test plans to verify autonomy performance; analyze logs, metrics, and failure cases to drive reliability improvements; collaborate with hardware, QA, and product teams to ship safe, maintainable robotics features.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics or autonomy features to production or research-to-product environments; strong C++ and Python skills; hands-on ROS2 experience (nodes, TF, nav stack concepts, bagging, launch); experience with SLAM, localization, and mapping fundamentals; understanding of motion planning and control systems; comfort integrating and debugging sensors and embedded interfaces; experience with Linux, Git, CI, Docker, and reproducible development workflows; strong troubleshooting skills using logs, profiling, and structured experiments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with computer vision (OpenCV, deep learning inference pipelines) and sensor fusion; experience with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), industrial robotics, or manipulation; familiarity with safety concepts, fault handling, and redundancy; experience deploying at scale using telemetry, monitoring, and over-the-air update patterns; exposure to cloud robotics, fleet management, and data collection pipelines; experience optimizing real-time performance and latency in robotics systems.

Tools and Tech Stack

ROS2, C++, Python, Linux, Git, Docker, Gazebo/simulation, OpenCV, sensor drivers, calibration toolchains, logging/telemetry pipelines, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and robotics middleware patterns.

Remote Work and Collaboration

This Remote role is structured for high-output engineering with clear milestones, async documentation, and scheduled integration windows for hardware access. You will coordinate across time zones, maintain engineering design docs, and partner closely with QA and hardware teams to keep system behavior consistent from simulation to real robots.

How to Apply on Rex.zone

Apply through Rex.zone with a resume highlighting robotics deployments, ROS2 projects, autonomy modules (SLAM/planning/control), and evidence of debugging complex sensor/actuator issues. Include links to repositories, papers, demos, or simulation videos where relevant.
