Title: Robotics Engineer Jobs Recife | Date: 25-02-2026 | Company: Rexzone | Country: US | Remote Type: Remote | Employment Type: FULL_TIME | Experience Level: Mid-Senior | Industry: Technology | Job Function: Engineering | Skills: ROS2, C++, Python, SLAM, Sensor Fusion, Motion Planning, Control Systems, Computer Vision, LiDAR, Kalman Filtering, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Linux, Git, CI/CD | Salary Currency: USD | Salary Min: 63360 | Salary Max: 126720 | Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

Design, develop, and deploy robotics software for autonomous systems. You will own key parts of the robotics stack (perception, localization, mapping, planning, and controls), translate requirements into reliable implementations, and partner with QA and field teams to validate behavior. Work includes simulation-first development, on-robot integration, failure analysis, safety-focused improvements, and performance optimization for real-time constraints.

What You Will Do

Deliver robotics features and improvements across autonomy pipelines, including perception and tracking, SLAM and localization, trajectory generation, and feedback control. Build and maintain ROS2 nodes, interfaces, and message schemas. Integrate sensors such as cameras, IMUs, LiDAR, encoders, and GPS. Develop simulation scenarios and automated regression tests to measure navigation success rate, localization drift, collision metrics, and control stability. Diagnose field issues using logs and telemetry; implement fixes and prevention checks.

Required Qualifications

Mid-senior robotics engineering experience building autonomy or robotic control systems. Strong C++ and Python for robotics development. Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience and Linux-based development. Solid understanding of state estimation, sensor fusion, and SLAM fundamentals. Experience with motion planning and control (PID, MPC, or equivalent). Proven ability to write tests, debug complex runtime issues, and deliver production-quality code with clear documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with computer vision for robotics (calibration, feature tracking, visual odometry) and deep learning inference optimization on edge hardware. Familiarity with simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac Sim) and hardware-in-the-loop workflows. Exposure to safety, reliability engineering, and formal validation approaches for robotics deployments. Experience building data collection and evaluation pipelines for autonomy metrics.

Tools, Tech Stack, and Workflows

ROS2, C++, Python, Linux, Git, CI/CD, Docker, sensor drivers, bag/log processing, simulation environments, and automated testing. You will work with common robotics patterns: coordinate frames and transforms, time synchronization, filtering/estimation, planning graphs, collision checking, and real-time control loops. Collaboration includes design reviews, code reviews, runbooks, and post-incident analysis.

How Success Is Measured

Improved autonomy quality and reliability measured by navigation success rate, reduced localization drift, fewer safety incidents, stronger regression coverage, and stable runtime performance under real-world constraints. Clear documentation, reproducible experiments, and predictable delivery timelines are also critical.

Compensation

Salary range is USD 63360 to 126720 per year, dependent on experience, skills alignment, and scope of responsibilities. This is a remote, full-time role.

How to Apply on Rex.zone

Apply through Rex.zone by submitting an updated resume and a brief summary of robotics projects you have shipped (ROS2 nodes, SLAM/planning/control, sensor integration, simulation or field validation). Include links to repositories, technical write-ups, or demo videos where possible.
