Title: Robotics Engineer Jobs São Paulo | Date: 25-02-2026 | Company: Rexzone | Country: US | Remote Type: Remote | Employment Type: FULL_TIME | Experience Level: Mid-Senior | Industry: Technology | Job Function: Engineering | Skills: Robotics software, ROS2, SLAM, Motion planning, Controls, Sensor fusion, Computer vision, Python, C++, Gazebo simulation, CI/CD, Hardware integration | Salary Currency: USD | Salary Min: 63360 | Salary Max: 126720 | Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will own end-to-end robotics engineering tasks, from requirements and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment. Typical work includes robot kinematics and dynamics, motion planning, control loops, perception pipelines, sensor fusion, and integration with embedded systems. You will validate behavior in simulation and on hardware, define acceptance criteria, and implement telemetry to measure performance, reliability, and safety. You will partner with cross-functional engineers to improve autonomy and operational robustness across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement robotics software components (planning, perception, controls) in Python and C++; build and maintain ROS2 nodes, message interfaces, and launch configurations; implement SLAM, localization, mapping, and state estimation pipelines using sensor fusion (IMU, LiDAR, cameras, encoders); develop motion planning and trajectory generation with collision checking and constraints; tune controllers (PID/MPC) and validate stability, latency, and tracking error; create simulation environments (Gazebo/Isaac/Unity equivalents where applicable) and run reproducible experiments; integrate and debug hardware (sensors, actuators, compute, networking) and create test procedures; define performance metrics (success rate, cycle time, drift, safety stops) and establish continuous evaluation and regression testing; document architecture, interfaces, and operating procedures to support scale and handoff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Mid-senior experience building and deploying robotic systems; strong programming skills in C++ and Python with profiling and debugging; hands-on experience with ROS2, robot middleware, and distributed robotics systems; knowledge of SLAM, localization, sensor fusion, and state estimation; understanding of motion planning, kinematics, and collision checking; experience with control systems and actuator/sensor characterization; practical experience running simulation-to-real validation and hardware bring-up; strong engineering fundamentals: testing, version control, CI/CD, code review, and reliability practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with real-time constraints, embedded Linux, and performance optimization; familiarity with computer vision for robotics (feature tracking, depth, semantic perception); experience with autonomy stacks and safety-critical workflows; comfort with production telemetry, monitoring, and failure analysis; exposure to robotics domains such as mobile robots, manipulators, warehouse automation, or inspection robots.

Tools and Workflows

ROS2, TF, URDF/Xacro, Gazebo-based simulation, sensor drivers, calibration tools, logging and bagging, unit/integration testing, CI pipelines, and structured evaluation. Work includes defining test scenarios, maintaining reproducible experiments, and tracking model/system performance improvements over time.

Remote Work and Collaboration

This role is Remote and FULL_TIME. You will collaborate across time zones using written specs, design reviews, and structured experiment reports. You will maintain clear documentation and provide reliable status updates tied to measurable outcomes such as navigation success rate, localization drift, and control stability.

Compensation

Salary range is USD 63360 to USD 126720 per YEAR, depending on experience, scope, and interview performance. Final compensation may reflect location, skills depth, and ownership expectations.
