Title: Robotics Engineer Work Managua | Date: 25-02-2026 | Company: Rexzone | Country: US | Remote Type: Remote | Employment Type: FULL_TIME | Experience Level: Mid-Senior | Industry: Technology | Job Function: Engineering | Skills: ROS, ROS2, C++, Python, Motion Planning, Control Systems, SLAM, Sensor Fusion, Computer Vision, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Embedded Systems, Real-Time Systems, Linux, Docker | Salary Currency: USD | Salary Min: 63360 | Salary Max: 126720 | Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will design and ship robotics capabilities end-to-end: requirements, architecture, implementation, integration, and field validation. The role covers robot autonomy pipelines (perception → localization → planning → control), safety and reliability constraints, and continuous improvement through logs, metrics, and regression testing. You will collaborate remotely with mechanical, electrical, and product stakeholders while maintaining clear documentation, reproducible builds, and disciplined release processes suitable for production robots.

What You Will Do

Own core robotics components including perception integration, localization (SLAM/odometry), motion planning, and closed-loop control. Build and maintain ROS/ROS2 nodes, topics, services, and action interfaces with robust message contracts and parameterization. Integrate sensors such as cameras, IMUs, LiDAR, encoders, and depth sensors; implement calibration and time synchronization strategies. Develop simulation-first workflows using Gazebo and/or Isaac Sim, create scenarios, and validate autonomy behaviors before deployment. Diagnose performance and reliability issues using telemetry, bag/log analysis, profiling, and root-cause analysis, then implement fixes with tests and rollout plans.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics or embedded engineering features into real systems. Strong C++ and Python skills for robotics software development. Practical ROS/ROS2 experience including debugging distributed systems and real-time constraints. Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, feedback control (PID/state-space), and motion planning concepts. Experience with perception and localization stacks such as computer vision, SLAM, sensor fusion, and coordinate transforms. Comfort working in Linux environments with Git, CI practices, and containerized or reproducible builds.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with navigation stacks, behavior trees, or autonomy frameworks; familiarity with safety constraints and fail-safe behaviors. Exposure to hardware bring-up, embedded systems, microcontrollers, and real-time operating considerations. Knowledge of calibration pipelines, camera models, LiDAR processing, and multi-sensor time alignment. Experience deploying to edge compute, optimizing latency, and improving deterministic performance. Familiarity with Docker-based development, automated integration testing, and simulation-based regression suites.

Tools and Tech Stack

ROS/ROS2, C++, Python, Linux, Git, Docker, Gazebo and/or Isaac Sim, OpenCV, SLAM/sensor fusion tooling, telemetry logging and analysis, CI pipelines, and structured testing for robotics integration.

How Success Is Measured

Improved autonomy success rate in representative scenarios, reduced failure modes in field logs, better localization stability and planning smoothness, tighter control tracking error, faster time-to-debug through better observability, and higher release confidence via automated tests and simulation regression coverage.

Compensation

Salary range is USD 63360 to 126720 per year, depending on experience, scope, and demonstrated robotics delivery impact.
