The role emphasizes production engineering: writing reliable C++/Python robotics software, integrating hardware sensors, validating performance in simulation and hardware-in-the-loop, and improving real-world robot behavior with data-driven iteration. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain ROS/ROS 2 nodes for sensing, localization, mapping, planning, and control - Implement perception and sensor fusion pipelines (camera, LiDAR, IMU, wheel odometry) to support stable autonomy - Develop and tune controllers (PID/MPC) for trajectory tracking, stability, and safety constraints - Create simulation testbeds and CI-friendly regression tests to improve autonomy reliability - Run experiments, analyze logs/telemetry, and drive model/system performance improvement - Partner with mechanical, electrical, and QA teams on integration, calibration, and field validation Required Qualifications: - Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics or autonomous systems in production environments - Strong C++ and Python skills; comfort with Linux development and debugging tooling - Hands-on ROS/ROS 2 experience, including message definitions, TF frames, launch files, and bagging - Practical understanding of robotics fundamentals: kinematics, dynamics, state estimation, and control - Experience with SLAM/localization, motion planning, or computer vision perception Nice to Have: - Experience with MoveIt, Nav2, Gazebo/Ignition, Isaac Sim, or other simulation stacks - Experience with real-time constraints, embedded integration, CAN/UART/I2C/SPI, and sensor calibration - Familiarity with safety concepts, fault detection, and robotics QA validation How to Apply: - Apply via Rex.zone with a resume highlighting shipped robotics systems, autonomy modules, and measurable outcomes - Include links to GitHub/portfolio, publications, demos, or robotics competition work if available
