Robotics Jobs Costa Rica

Date: 25-02-2026 | Company: Rexzone | Country: US | Remote Type: Remote | Employment Type: FULL_TIME | Experience Level: Mid-Senior | Industry: Technology | Job Function: Engineering | Skills: Robotics, ROS2, SLAM, Motion Planning, Computer Vision, Sensor Fusion, Embedded Systems, Python, C++, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Control Systems | Salary Currency: USD | Salary Min: 63360 | Salary Max: 126720 | Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will design, integrate, and validate robotic capabilities across perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control. The work includes ROS/ROS2 node development, simulation-driven iteration, hardware-in-the-loop testing, sensor calibration, and production debugging. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, build reliable autonomy pipelines, improve system robustness, and document engineering decisions for repeatable deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Own robotics feature development from prototype to deployment; implement perception and sensor fusion for cameras, LiDAR, IMU, and encoders; develop and tune SLAM/localization pipelines; build motion planning and control modules with safety constraints; create simulation scenarios for regression and performance testing; instrument logging/telemetry and conduct root-cause analysis; write integration tests and enforce QA gates; maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and interface contracts.

Required Qualifications

Mid-to-senior experience shipping robotics systems; strong Python and C++ skills; hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience with tooling, messaging, and launch systems; practical understanding of SLAM, state estimation, and control; familiarity with computer vision pipelines and calibration; experience with Linux, Git, CI/CD, and test automation; ability to debug real hardware issues using logs, bags, and profiling tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or similar simulation environments; motion planning frameworks (e.g., MoveIt) and constraint-based planning; embedded systems exposure (MCUs, real-time constraints, CAN/I2C/SPI); safety and verification practices for autonomy (hazard analysis, fail-safes); deployment experience on edge compute (NVIDIA Jetson) and performance optimization.

Workflow and Tooling

Common workflows include simulation-to-real iteration, bag review, dataset curation for perception improvements, benchmarking for model performance improvement, and regression testing for training data quality when perception models are updated. Tooling often includes ROS/ROS2, Python/C++, OpenCV, Eigen, Gazebo/Isaac Sim, Docker, and CI pipelines with automated QA evaluation for robotics releases.

What You’ll Work On

Autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance; perception and scene understanding using computer vision; localization and mapping for indoor/outdoor environments; motion planning and trajectory tracking; sensor calibration and time synchronization; reliability improvements, monitoring, and incident response for deployed robots.

Remote Work and Collaboration

This is a Remote full-time role. You will collaborate asynchronously using written design docs, code reviews, test reports, and structured QA checklists. When hardware access is required, you will coordinate staged deployments, remote logs, and lab-based validation with partner teams.

How to Apply

Apply via Rex.zone with a resume highlighting robotics deployments, ROS/ROS2 projects, SLAM/planning/control experience, and links to GitHub or technical write-ups. Include examples of debugging complex autonomy issues, building simulation test coverage, and improving reliability in real-world environments.
