About the Role

You will contribute to end-to-end robotics development, including requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment. Work spans perception (camera/LiDAR/IMU), localization and mapping (SLAM), motion planning, low-level control, and system integration. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and QA stakeholders to improve reliability, latency, and safety, using simulation and real-robot experiments.

What You Will Do

Design and implement robotics software modules in ROS/ROS2; build perception pipelines using computer vision and sensor fusion; develop localization, mapping, and navigation stacks (e.g., SLAM, path planning); tune and validate control loops for stability and tracking performance; integrate hardware drivers and timing-critical components; create simulation scenarios and run sim-to-real validation; define test plans, logging, and debugging workflows; improve performance metrics such as autonomy success rate, trajectory error, and cycle time.

Required Qualifications

Mid-senior experience building robotics systems in production or advanced prototypes; strong Python and C++ skills for robotics development; hands-on ROS/ROS2 expertise (nodes, topics, services, TF, rosbag); knowledge of state estimation and sensor fusion (e.g., EKF/UKF concepts); familiarity with SLAM and navigation fundamentals; ability to debug distributed systems using logs, traces, and profilers; understanding of safety considerations, failure modes, and field reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or similar simulation tools; familiarity with perception for robotics (object detection, tracking, depth, calibration); experience with embedded systems and real-time constraints; exposure to autonomy stacks and planning frameworks; understanding of CI/CD for robotics software, automated testing, and reproducible builds; experience deploying robots in unstructured or dynamic environments.

Tools and Tech Stack

ROS/ROS2, Python, C++, Linux, Git, Docker, Gazebo/Isaac Sim (as applicable), OpenCV, Eigen, visualization and debugging tools (RViz, rqt), telemetry/logging pipelines, and hardware interfaces for cameras, LiDAR, and IMUs.

How Success Is Measured

Improved autonomy reliability and safety outcomes; measurable gains in localization accuracy, planning stability, and control tracking; reduced integration and debugging time through better tooling; robust test coverage and reproducible simulation scenarios; clear documentation and maintainable robotics software components.
