You will design and deliver autonomy features for robotic platforms, collaborating across software, hardware, and product. The focus is production robotics: reliable robot behavior in dynamic environments, strong engineering practices, measurable performance improvements, and safe deployment. Responsibilities: [Own robotics software modules for perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control, Develop ROS 2 nodes and interfaces for sensors and actuators, Build and tune SLAM and sensor fusion pipelines using LiDAR, camera, IMU, and wheel odometry, Implement motion planning and control strategies for mobile robots and/or manipulators, Create simulation-first development workflows in Gazebo or Isaac Sim with repeatable test scenarios, Run hardware-in-the-loop and field testing, analyze logs, and drive root-cause fixes, Improve real-time performance, reliability, and safety constraints across the stack, Maintain engineering standards: code review, CI, documentation, and release management] Requirements: [Mid-senior experience shipping robotics features to real hardware, Strong C++ and Python skills in Linux environments, Hands-on experience with ROS 2, tf2, launch, and common ROS tooling, Practical knowledge of SLAM, state estimation, and sensor fusion, Familiarity with motion planning concepts (e.g., sampling-based planners, trajectory optimization) and control systems, Ability to debug distributed robotics systems using logs, rosbag, profiling, and on-robot testing, Experience with simulation, testing pipelines, and reproducible experiments, Clear communication and collaboration in a remote team] Nice to Have: [Computer vision for robotics (feature tracking, depth, object detection), Manipulation planning (MoveIt), embedded integration, and networking, Docker-based deployment and CI/CD for robotics stacks, Safety practices, fault handling, and system monitoring, Experience with autonomy evaluation metrics and dataset-driven iteration] Compensation: This role is budgeted at USD 63360 to 126720 per year, depending on experience and scope.
