Title: Robotics Software Engineer Date: 25-02-2026 Company: Rexzone Country: US Remote Type: Remote Employment Type: FULL_TIME Experience Level: Mid-Senior Industry: Technology Job Function: Engineering Skills: ROS2, C++, Python, SLAM, Motion Planning, Sensor Fusion, Computer Vision, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Git Salary Currency: USD Salary Min: 63360 Salary Max: 126720 Pay Period: YEAR You will design and implement robotics software for autonomous systems, focusing on navigation, perception integration, and reliable runtime performance. Day-to-day work includes ROS/ROS2 node development, hardware abstraction, real-time messaging, and simulation-driven testing. You will partner with ML and data operations teams to improve training data quality and ensure annotation guidelines compliance for perception datasets used in computer vision annotation (e.g., bounding boxes, segmentation, keypoints) and sensor fusion calibration. Key responsibilities: - Build and maintain ROS2-based autonomy services for localization, mapping, and planning. - Integrate perception outputs (CV models, depth, LiDAR, IMU) into robust sensor fusion pipelines. - Develop SLAM and navigation components, tune parameters, and evaluate field performance. - Create simulation scenarios for regression testing using Gazebo/Isaac Sim and recorded bag data. - Define QA evaluation metrics for autonomy behaviors (success rate, collision rate, latency, drift). - Collaborate on data labeling specs for edge cases; review labeled data for consistency and content safety labeling where required. What success looks like: - Improved model performance improvement via better datasets, clear labeling instructions, and measurable autonomy KPIs. - Reduced incident rate through test coverage, fault handling, and systematic evaluation. - Production-ready releases with reproducible builds, CI checks, and deployment documentation.
