This role supports robotics programs that depend on high-quality training data, robust evaluation, and QA processes—such as sensor dataset curation, annotation guideline compliance for CV labeling, offline/online testing, and safety validation. You will integrate sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU), develop autonomy stacks, and collaborate with ML and QA teams to improve model performance improvement and reliability in diverse environments. Responsibilities: - Build and maintain robot software components (ROS2 nodes, middleware integration, device drivers) - Develop autonomy features: SLAM, localization, mapping, motion planning, and control loops - Implement perception pipelines using computer vision and sensor fusion for real-time operation - Create simulation and testing harnesses (Gazebo, unit/integration tests, HIL/SIL) to validate behaviors - Define evaluation metrics and run structured QA validation to prevent regressions in navigation and perception - Support training data workflows: data collection, labeling specs, dataset versioning, and data quality checks - Collaborate with ML teams on model deployment constraints (latency, compute, robustness) and monitoring Qualifications: - Mid-Senior experience shipping robotics systems or autonomy features in production or field trials - Strong Python and C++ for robotics software engineering and performance-critical components - Hands-on ROS2 experience and familiarity with robotics middleware, tools, and debugging - Understanding of motion planning, controls, state estimation, SLAM, and sensor calibration - Experience with CV perception stacks and dataset-driven iteration cycles - Comfort with remote collaboration, documentation, and engineering quality practices Nice to Have: - Experience with fleet operations, telemetry, and incident response for deployed robots - Background in reinforcement learning or policy learning for robotics - Familiarity with content safety, labeling QA, or evaluation workflows for training data quality How to Apply: - Apply through Rex.zone with a resume highlighting shipped robotics projects, autonomy stack ownership, and testing practices - Include links to GitHub, demos, publications, or portfolio evidence of robotics system delivery
