About the Role

You will design, build, test, and deploy robotics software for perception, planning, and control in Remote full-time workflows while collaborating across hardware, ML, and product teams. Your work will cover ROS/ROS2 integration, sensor bring-up, simulation-to-real validation, and production readiness, including safety checks, failure-mode analysis, and performance profiling.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver robotics features across the autonomy stack (perception, localization, planning, control) with clear interfaces and documentation. Build and maintain ROS2 nodes, message definitions, launch files, and parameterization for scalable deployments. Implement motion planning and control algorithms (trajectory generation, MPC/PID tuning, kinematics/dynamics integration) with measurable latency and stability targets. Develop simulation-first workflows (Gazebo/Isaac-style pipelines), domain randomization strategies, and regression test suites. Define data capture and labeling specifications for robotics perception datasets (e.g., bounding boxes, segmentation, keypoints, depth/pose labels) and ensure annotation guidelines compliance. Create evaluation harnesses to track model performance improvement using metrics such as mAP, IoU, pose error, drift, collision rate, and task success rate. Conduct QA evaluation for robotics releases: calibration checks, sensor health monitoring, log review, and incident triage.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics software to real hardware or production simulators. Strong ROS/ROS2 proficiency and comfort with Linux-based development environments. Solid foundations in kinematics, dynamics, control theory, and motion planning. Proficiency in Python and C++ with debugging, profiling, and automated testing practices. Experience with perception pipelines using cameras, LiDAR, IMU, and sensor fusion. Ability to write clear specs, reproduce issues from logs, and communicate tradeoffs across multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SLAM, localization, and mapping in dynamic environments. Familiarity with computer vision annotation and evaluation (segmentation, keypoints, 3D boxes) and dataset QA workflows. Exposure to LLM-assisted robotics, prompt evaluation for tool-using agents, or data-centric ML processes. Experience with content safety labeling considerations for human-facing robotics deployments. CI/CD for robotics, containerization, and fleet telemetry pipelines.

Tools and Workflows

ROS2, Linux, Python, C++, simulation environments, Git-based code review, automated testing, and structured release validation. Data operations practices include training data quality checks, annotation guidelines compliance, and repeatable evaluation protocols that connect dataset changes to model and robot behavior changes.
