Date: 25-02-2026 | Company: Rexzone | Country: US | Remote Type: Remote | Employment Type: FULL_TIME | Experience Level: Mid-Senior | Industry: Technology | Job Function: Engineering | Skills: Robotics engineering, ROS2, SLAM, sensor fusion, autonomous navigation, motion planning, control systems, computer vision, C++, Python, Gazebo, Isaac Sim | Salary Currency: USD | Salary Min: 63360 | Salary Max: 126720 | Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

As a Robotics Engineer aligned to São Paulo hiring demand, you will build end-to-end robotic capabilities from perception to actuation. Typical work includes defining system requirements, implementing ROS/ROS2 nodes, integrating sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU), developing SLAM and localization, designing motion planning and control loops, and validating behavior in simulation and field tests. You will collaborate with AI/ML engineers on computer vision models, dataset collection, training data quality, evaluation metrics, and closed-loop performance improvements under real constraints such as latency, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement robotics software stacks using ROS/ROS2, C++/Python, and modular architectures; build perception pipelines using computer vision and sensor fusion for detection, tracking, mapping, and localization; develop and tune motion planning, trajectory generation, and control systems (PID/MPC) for stable operation; create simulation workflows in Gazebo/Isaac Sim and run sim-to-real validation with reproducible experiments; define evaluation protocols for navigation success rate, collision rate, localization drift, and mission completion; instrument logging, telemetry, and debugging tools for field deployments; collaborate across hardware, embedded, and cloud teams to integrate compute, networking, and safety mechanisms.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience in robotics engineering, autonomy, or related systems engineering; strong programming skills in C++ and Python with attention to real-time constraints; hands-on ROS/ROS2 development including message design, tf frames, and lifecycle management; experience with SLAM/localization, sensor calibration, and sensor fusion; familiarity with motion planning and control, including tuning and stability considerations; solid debugging practices using logs, bag files, profilers, and reproducible tests.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience deploying robots in production environments (warehouse AMRs, drones, delivery robots, industrial arms); knowledge of computer vision pipelines (calibration, stereo, depth, tracking) and model evaluation; familiarity with autonomy stacks (Nav2, MoveIt, behavior trees) and safety best practices; experience with simulation, digital twins, and sim-to-real techniques; exposure to edge inference optimization, latency profiling, and on-robot compute constraints.
