Your work will span robot software architecture, perception and state estimation, motion planning, and closed-loop control, with a strong focus on reliability and safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate product requirements into deployable behaviors, and you will use simulation and real-world testing to improve performance, robustness, and uptime in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

["Build and maintain ROS2-based robotics software modules for perception, planning, and control","Integrate and calibrate sensors (cameras, LiDAR, IMU, encoders) and implement sensor fusion pipelines","Develop SLAM and localization components; improve drift, relocalization, and map management","Implement motion planning and trajectory optimization; ensure smooth, safe navigation around obstacles","Create simulation scenarios (e.g., Gazebo) to reproduce issues and validate new features before deployment","Develop automated testing, logging, and replay workflows to accelerate debugging and regression prevention","Profile and optimize latency, throughput, and resource usage on edge compute platforms","Partner with hardware, firmware, and cloud teams to deliver end-to-end robotic features and telemetry"]

Required Qualifications

["Mid-senior experience shipping robotics or automation systems in production","Strong programming skills in C++ and Python for real-time robotics applications","Hands-on experience with ROS2, robot middleware, and distributed robotic systems","Practical understanding of SLAM/localization, perception, sensor fusion, and control theory basics","Experience with simulation, unit/integration testing, and CI practices for robotics codebases","Ability to diagnose field issues using logs, metrics, and reproducible experiments","Comfort working remotely with strong written communication and async collaboration"]

Preferred Qualifications

["Experience with computer vision pipelines for detection, tracking, and depth estimation","Knowledge of motion planning libraries and planning under uncertainty","Experience deploying robotics software on Linux-based embedded/edge hardware","Familiarity with safety concepts, fail-safes, and operational risk mitigation in robotics","Exposure to cloud robotics, fleet management, over-the-air updates, and observability"]

Work Context (Remote, Full-Time)

["Remote role remains explicitly Remote; full-time schedule aligned with cross-functional engineering delivery","Daily collaboration with distributed teams using code reviews, design docs, and issue tracking","Iterative development with simulation-first validation and structured on-robot test plans","Clear success metrics tied to autonomy reliability, navigation performance, and system uptime"]

Compensation

Salary Range (USD/YEAR): 63360 to 126720. Compensation may vary based on experience, scope, and technical depth.
