Open Role: Robotics Software Engineer Jobs Argentina

Title: Robotics Software Engineer Jobs Argentina Date: 25-02-2026 Company: Rexzone Country: US Remote Type: Remote Employment Type: FULL_TIME Experience Level: Mid-Senior Industry: Technology Job Function: Engineering Skills: ROS2, C++, Python, SLAM, Motion Planning, Computer Vision, Sensor Fusion, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Linux Salary Currency: USD Salary Min: 63360 Salary Max: 126720 Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will design, implement, and maintain robotics software components for autonomy and control, working across perception, planning, localization, and system integration. You will contribute to ROS/ROS2 nodes, drivers, and middleware interfaces; create reliable pipelines from simulation to real hardware; and improve system observability with logs, metrics, and diagnostics. The work spans algorithm development, real-time and embedded considerations, and pragmatic engineering for field reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, QA, product) in a remote environment while shipping production-grade robotics features.

Key Responsibilities

You will own end-to-end robotics features from requirements to deployment, including architecture decisions, implementation, testing, and performance tuning. You will build and optimize perception and localization components (e.g., SLAM, sensor fusion, calibration flows) and integrate them with motion planning and control. You will create simulation-first validation using Gazebo/Isaac Sim and maintain reproducible environments with Docker and CI. You will debug system-level issues using rosbag, profiling tools, and on-robot telemetry, and you will improve safety and reliability with failure-mode analysis, watchdogs, and fallback behaviors.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience shipping robotics or autonomy software in production or advanced research settings. Strong C++ and Python skills with solid software engineering fundamentals (testing, design patterns, performance). Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2, Linux, and robotics middleware concepts (topics, services, actions, TF frames). Familiarity with perception or navigation stacks, including SLAM/localization, motion planning, and control loops. Ability to work effectively in a remote full-time setup with clear written communication and structured delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with computer vision and state estimation (OpenCV, PCL, EKF/UKF), multi-sensor calibration, and real-time constraints. Experience deploying on embedded or edge compute platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson) and managing hardware interfaces (CAN, serial, Ethernet). Familiarity with safety practices and robotics QA, including scenario-based testing, regression suites, and performance benchmarks. Experience with industrial automation, warehouse robotics, or mobile manipulation, plus comfort with cloud-connected robot fleets and telemetry.

Tech Stack and Tools

Common tools include ROS2, C++17/20, Python, Linux, Docker, Git, CI/CD, Gazebo or Isaac Sim, OpenCV/PCL, and profiling/debugging tooling. Depending on the team, you may also work with navigation and planning libraries, GPU acceleration, sensor SDKs (lidar, cameras, IMU), and fleet management services. Emphasis is placed on reproducibility, automated testing, and measurable performance improvements in latency, accuracy, and robustness.

How This Role Creates Impact

You will improve robot autonomy by increasing localization accuracy, reducing planning failures, and delivering robust behaviors under real-world noise and constraints. Your work will directly influence deployment readiness through better simulation-to-real transfer, deterministic builds, and systematic validation. You will help teams move from prototype demos to reliable systems that operate in dynamic environments with safety and uptime expectations.

Remote Work and Collaboration

This is a Remote, FULL_TIME position. You will collaborate through async updates, code reviews, structured design docs, and automated test reports. The team values clear ownership, predictable delivery, and engineering rigor. Remote operations include well-defined onboarding, documented runbooks, and repeatable local/sim setups to keep iteration fast.

Application Process

Apply via Rex.zone by submitting your resume and a brief summary of robotics projects you have shipped. Highlight ROS/ROS2 experience, autonomy features delivered, simulation and testing practices, and examples of debugging complex system issues. If applicable, include links to repositories, papers, or demo videos that show real robot performance or simulation benchmarks.
