Title: Robotics Technician Jobs; Date: 25-02-2026; Company: Rexzone; Country: US; Remote Type: Remote; Employment Type: FULL_TIME; Experience Level: Mid-Senior; Industry: Technology; Job Function: Engineering; Skills: Robotics maintenance, Mechatronics, Troubleshooting, Preventive maintenance, Electrical diagnostics, Mechanical assembly, Sensor calibration, Actuator tuning, PLC basics, ROS basics, Safety compliance, Root cause analysis, Technical documentation; Salary Currency: USD; Salary Min: 63360; Salary Max: 126720; Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will provide end-to-end technical support for robotic systems, including routine inspections, failure diagnosis, part replacement, calibration, and verification testing. The work emphasizes repeatable maintenance procedures, safe operation, and rapid triage using logs, test points, and structured troubleshooting. You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to track incidents, document corrective actions, and improve reliability through feedback loops.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and service robotic cells and subsystems to meet uptime and throughput targets; troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and sensor-related faults using structured diagnostics; perform preventive maintenance plans, lubrication schedules, torque checks, and wear inspections; calibrate sensors (vision, proximity, force/torque where applicable) and validate robot accuracy and repeatability; replace components such as motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings, encoders, cables, end effectors, and safety devices; support robot bring-up, commissioning checklists, and post-maintenance verification tests; follow lockout/tagout procedures, safety risk assessments, and site or customer safety standards; capture evidence in service logs, work orders, and technical documentation; coordinate spare parts, inventory usage, and recommended stocking levels; communicate recurring failure patterns and propose reliability improvements based on root cause analysis.

Required Qualifications

Hands-on experience maintaining or troubleshooting robotic systems, automation equipment, or industrial mechatronics; strong fundamentals in electrical and mechanical diagnostics (multimeter usage, continuity checks, alignment, fasteners, torque specs); familiarity with sensors, actuators, motor drives, and basic control concepts; ability to read wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and service manuals; experience using ticketing/work order tools and writing clear technical notes; consistent adherence to safety practices and compliance requirements in maintenance environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to PLC interfaces, industrial networking basics, or HMI troubleshooting; familiarity with ROS concepts (nodes, topics) or robot software tooling where applicable; experience with robotic arms, AMRs/AGVs, conveyors, end-of-line automation, or vision-guided robotics; background in reliability methods such as MTBF/MTTR tracking, FMEA inputs, or structured root cause analysis; experience supporting multi-site fleets or distributed operations in a remote support model.

Tools and Systems You May Use

Diagnostic tools (multimeter, clamp meter, torque tools), calibration fixtures, and service checklists; work order systems for preventive maintenance and incident tracking; log review and basic telemetry checks for identifying fault patterns; documentation standards for maintenance SOPs, escalation notes, and corrective action records.

How Success Is Measured

Reduced downtime and faster incident resolution (MTTR) through consistent diagnostics; improved system uptime and fewer repeat failures via preventive maintenance and root cause fixes; high-quality documentation that enables repeatable repairs and effective escalation; safe, compliant execution of maintenance activities and operational readiness checks.

Work Location and Schedule

Remote role based in the US, full-time. You will coordinate with operations and engineering stakeholders and may support time-sensitive troubleshooting depending on system needs and service windows.
