Title: Robotics Technician Jobs | Date: 25-02-2026 | Company: Rexzone | Country: US | Remote Type: Remote | Employment Type: FULL_TIME | Experience Level: Mid-Senior | Industry: Technology | Job Function: Engineering | Skills: warehouse automation, AMR support, robotics maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, PLC basics, sensors and actuators, conveyors and sortation, HMI monitoring, electrical diagnostics, mechanical repair, CMMS, root cause analysis, safety compliance, uptime optimization | Salary Currency: USD | Salary Min: 63360 | Salary Max: 126720 | Pay Period: YEAR

About the Role

You will support warehouse robotics and automation environments by monitoring fleet health, responding to alerts, guiding on-site teams through diagnostics, and improving service playbooks. The role emphasizes structured troubleshooting, failure pattern analysis, and preventative maintenance planning for robotics systems such as AMRs, conveyor/sortation equipment, sensor networks, and PLC-integrated cells.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor robotics fleet status dashboards and logs; triage incidents and prioritize based on safety, downtime impact, and operational SLAs. Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and software-adjacent layers (motors, encoders, sensors, batteries, network connectivity, PLC signals, HMI alarms). Create and refine SOPs, troubleshooting trees, and escalation paths for recurring failure modes. Coordinate with operations, engineering, and vendors to schedule preventative maintenance and minimize disruption to warehouse throughput. Track work orders, parts usage, and repair history in CMMS; maintain accurate maintenance records and change notes. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce repeat incidents and improve uptime. Support commissioning or change control activities for new automation cells, firmware updates, or layout modifications, ensuring documentation and verification. Ensure compliance with safety policies (lockout/tagout guidance, EHS practices), and promote safe operation of robotic systems.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience supporting warehouse robotics, automation equipment, or industrial maintenance in high-availability environments. Hands-on troubleshooting knowledge across electromechanical systems (sensors, actuators, motors, belts, gearboxes, wiring, power distribution). Working familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment, HMI alarm interpretation, and basic I/O concepts (no advanced programming required). Experience using CMMS and documenting work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and parts consumption. Strong incident triage skills, clear written communication, and disciplined adherence to SOPs and safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AMR fleets, charging infrastructure, and common warehouse automation components (conveyors, sorters, scanners, dimensioners). Basic networking knowledge for troubleshooting connectivity issues (Wi-Fi coverage, device registration, switch/AP checks, log capture). RCA methods such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and reliability metrics (MTTR, MTBF, uptime). Vendor coordination experience and familiarity with spare parts planning and critical spares strategy.

Work Style and Collaboration

Remote role that collaborates with on-site operations teams and external vendors through ticketing, calls, and documented runbooks. Structured escalation and handoff practices to ensure consistent service quality across shifts and sites. Focus on continuous improvement: reducing downtime, improving maintenance quality, and standardizing diagnostic workflows.

Compensation

Salary Range: 63360–126720 USD per year Pay Period: YEAR Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and scope of responsibilities.
