About the Role

You will deliver end-to-end engineering support for warehouse robotics programs serving Mexico-based fulfillment operations. This includes integrating AMR fleets and robotic workcells with WMS/WCS, validating robot behaviors against site constraints, and improving reliability through monitoring, root-cause analysis, and iterative process tuning. You will partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements, test deployments, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining strong operational metrics such as throughput, robot utilization, and mean time to recovery.

Key Responsibilities

You will: plan and execute robot deployments and updates across warehouse sites serving Mexico; integrate robotics platforms with WMS/WCS, APIs, and message queues to support picking, sorting, putaway, and replenishment workflows; configure maps, zones, and traffic rules for AMR navigation and congestion control; analyze fleet telemetry, logs, and incident trends to improve uptime and reduce failure rates; create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and escalation procedures for operations teams; validate safety features including e-stops, geofencing, speed limits, and human-robot interaction policies; collaborate with vendors on bug fixes, firmware upgrades, and hardware reliability improvements; define acceptance tests and commissioning checklists for new sites and expansions; support continuous improvement using KPIs like throughput, pick rate, robot idle time, and MTTR.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior engineering experience in robotics, industrial automation, warehouse systems, or similar; hands-on knowledge of AMR/AGV or robotic workcells in logistics or manufacturing; experience integrating systems using APIs, webhooks, message buses, or middleware; familiarity with WMS/WCS concepts (task allocation, wave planning, inventory, location management); ability to troubleshoot across hardware, networks, and software (sensors, cameras, LiDAR, Wi-Fi, edge compute); proficiency with Python and basic SQL for diagnostics, reporting, and automation; strong incident response skills including log analysis and root-cause investigations; comfort working with cross-border stakeholders supporting Mexico operations while based remotely in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ROS/ROS2 or comparable robotics middleware; exposure to PLCs, OPC UA, Modbus, conveyor systems, sorters, and safety-rated devices; computer vision experience for barcode reading, pallet detection, or bin identification; knowledge of simulation, digital twins, or site mapping workflows; familiarity with safety standards and practices for industrial robots and mobile robots; bilingual English/Spanish communication for smoother coordination with Mexico site teams.

Tools and Technology

Typical stack includes AMR fleet management consoles, WMS/WCS integrations, REST APIs, message queues, robot telemetry dashboards, log aggregation, Python utilities, SQL-based reporting, incident management platforms, network diagnostics tools, and version-controlled documentation for procedures and deployment artifacts.

Working Model

Remote, full-time role based in the US supporting Mexico warehouse operations. You will work closely with on-site teams, may join time-sensitive incident calls, and coordinate rollout windows for deployments and upgrades. Remote status remains explicitly Remote.

Compensation

Salary range is USD 63360 to USD 126720 per year, depending on experience, technical depth, and scope of ownership. This role is FULL_TIME and Remote.

How to Apply on Rex.zone

Apply through Rex.zone by submitting your resume and a short summary of warehouse robotics projects you have shipped (AMR deployments, WMS/WCS integrations, reliability improvements, safety validation, or incident response wins). Include links to technical documentation, dashboards, or runbooks you have built when possible.
